Mosquitoes are a nuissance! They always seem to slip in the room somehow no matter how hard we try to keep them out. In some parts of the world they spread highly contaminant diseases. Mosquitoes are a health risk but for us they are mainly a pesky bug that either keep us awake with their buzzing or annoy us with their itchy bites/stings. There are many mosquito repellent products on the market, all of them will be explained here so you can find the best solution for u.

Prevent mosquitoes from coming inside

The best way to prevent the annoying presence of mosquitoes is controlling the entry places of the room. Here are a couple of guidelines:

  • Always shut the door behind you.
  • Use mesh 'fly screens' at each window.
  • Keep mosquito-repellent plants indoor.

Indoor mosquito repellers

Should mosquitoes still find their way in your house after carefully following above instructions you can find various mosquito repellers and repellents on the market:

  • Ultrasonic mosquito repeller
  • Mosquito Repellent Wristband Bracelet
  • Various indoor mosquito repellers that repel mosquitoes and other pesky pests, bugs and insects.
    • outlet devices
    • battery driven devices
  • Spray on mixtures based on either natural or chemical elements. These come in various containers and spray cans.
  • Mosquito traps

Mosquito killers

Another effective way to get rid mosquitoes is by killing them. Again we can find numerous products that will do this very effectively. The mosquito killers work by presenting the mosquitoes something they are looking for and attracted to.

  • Mosquito zappers emit a ultra violet light that attracts the mosquito. An electrical grid then zaps the mosquito to death.
  • Mosquito traps emit a warm, moist co2 rich atmosphere much like your breath. An animals breath is highly attractive to a mosquito. The mosquitoes are trapped in a net or a sticky surface and die by dehydratation.
  • Misters or sprayers. A programmed device that releases a mosquito killing insecticide by misting or spraying it in the air.
  • Various devices that need to be plugged in an outlet and release a pesticide through heat generation.
